Up All Night

Welcome back to the night
The sun goes down
It’s just beginning
Birds sleep

Lights out
Mine turns on
The streets are bare
Lungs fill with fresh air

Another bite of the donut
Better ask for six
Get them now
Save some

All clear
See the moon
High in the sky
This is my time now

Letters dance in my mind
Say what you need
Start a sentence
One word

The bed
Close your eyes
Awake on the inside
Only ten minutes to spare

Running out of time now
Move a little faster
On the wall
It ticks

Birds sing
It’s just ending
The sun comes up
Until we meet again tonight

About Paul

This is the part where I'm supposed to write something interesting about myself and you'll read it and think, "That's not that interesting." So let's not do that and just think about pizza instead, on the count of three. One, two, three. Donuts. Now, wasn't that interesting?
