Bloggers are the best. I’m reminded of that every single day when I read through blog posts written by people that I will never meet. There are a lot of hidden comedians in the world and most of them reside on WordPress.

That being said, when I’m nominated for an award that snakes it’s way through the blogging community, I’m going to accept it. Why? My ego.

But seriously, if someone is nominated for an award and then must pass it along, and I’m one of the people they think of, I take that as a compliment.

I know some people don’t “do awards”, and that’s fine. Everyone has their reasons.

The rules are:

Put the Award Logo on your blog
Answer seven questions by the person who nominated you

(I’m going to break three of these rules, keep reading.)

Now for my favourite part: questions.

1. What is the most interesting thing that happened to you this week?

Do naps count? Man, this was a pretty dull week. Let’s see. Oh, I got it! I ate a mint aero chocolate bar for the first time in about a year and it was delicious! I’m on a mission to find people who like mint chocolate because I feel like we’re a rare breed. So if you like mint chocolate…let’s be friends.

2. Did you become who said you wanted to be when you said “When I grow up…”?

No. Now I feel bad about myself. I wanted to be a baseball player, but quickly realized it wasn’t going to happen.

3. What is the weather like today?

Love this question. The day started with a nice thunderstorm that woke me up at 6AM. Sounded like someone threw a bowling ball at my window. It was a high of 9 degrees Celsius. Sorry, American readers, I don’t use Fahrenheit. Also it was really windy. Like “knock your socks off even though they’re in your shoes” windy.

4. Red or blue?

Blue.

5. Are you dealing with Spring Fever?

I don’t know what this is. Hold on, let me Google it. Oh, well now I feel dumb. Uhh, I wouldn’t say I’m dealing with Spring Fever. It’s probably my least favourite season of the year, though I should give it more credit.

6. What is the nicest thing a stranger has said/done to you?

My last day of moving out of residence at school in fourth year University, the check out lady told me she saw good things for me in the near future. I’m still hanging on to those words hoping “near future” applies to two years later.

7. Would you prefer a compliment or a hug?

Compliment. It lasts longer. And I can remember it. But if it’s a dumb compliment like, “nice shirt”, then I’ll take the hug.

Alright, I’m at the point where I have to nominate other bloggers. However, I want to do something different.

I’m supposed to ask seven questions and seek the responses from the people I nominate. Instead, I’m not going to nominate anyone. I’m going to ask seven questions, and if you are reading this blog post, I want you to answer them in the comments sections below.

Also, I’ve had the idea for a while of just posting a bunch of random questions and looking for answers, so hopeful this kickstarts that for me.
