There is no time to waste, let’s get right to my NFL snapshots for Week 12.
Arizona Cardinals (4-8)
The Cardinals are 1-6 at home this season.
Atlanta Falcons (5-7)
The NFC South this year is akin to when you’d line up after recess to go inside and the first person in each line was responsible for holding the door, but that person would always do a U-turn to the back of the line to avoid the responsibility. In other words, no team wants to run away with this division yet.
Buffalo Bills (8-3)
Von Miller has been placed on Injured Reserve with a knee injury.
Baltimore Ravens (7-4)
The Ravens let one get away against the Jaguars, at the last second.
Carolina Panthers (4-8)
See: Falcons. A Sam Darnold-lead playoff push would be fun.
Chicago Bears (3-9)
The Bears are at the forefront of the, “Wait until you see what we can do next year” movement.
Cincinatti Bengals (7-4)
The Bengals get the Chiefs this week, who they beat twice last year, including in the AFC Championship game. Bad blood is brewing.
Cleveland Browns (4-7)
Deshaun Watson makes his season debut this week against his former team, the Houston Texans.
Dallas Cowboys (8-3)
My gut tells me that Odell Beckham Jr. ends up with the Cowboys.
Detroit Lions (4-7)
Did you know the Lions have scored 13 more points than the Vikings this year?
Denver Broncos (3-8)
The biggest stories surrounding this team this week were about a defensive player yelling at the starting quarterback, and how only half the team showed up to the starting quarterback’s birthday party.
Green Bay Packers (4-8)
We’re probably one more Packers loss away from Jordan Love playing out the rest of the season at quarterback.
Houston Texans (1-9-1)
The Texans are averaging 68,329 fans per home game, according to ESPN.
Indianapolis Colts (4-7-1)
I say it every year. NFL coaches need to play more Madden video games to learn when to call timeout during a two-minute drill. The Colts offence right now reminds of the Saints’ offence in Drew Brees final season. Throws barely go over 15 yards down field and there is a sense of struggle around the whole thing.
Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7)
I told you the Jaguars would play spoiler down the stretch! They went for a two-point conversion at the end of the 4th quarter, to win, instead of kicking the extra point to force overtime.
Kansas City Chiefs (9-2)
It feels like the Chiefs are on a revenge tour this season and the Bengals are the main reason why. They face them this week, so get your popcorn ready.
Las Vegas Raiders (4-7)
Josh Jacobs had 303 yards from scrimmage against the Seahawks.
Los Angeles Chargers (6-5)
Like the Jaguars, the Chargers also went for the two-point conversion to win the game, rather than force overtime. One of these days, we’re going to see a team go for two points after every touchdown.
Los Angeles Rams (3-8)
Look away, kids, look away.
Miami Dolphins (8-3)
The Dolphins face the 49ers this week, which will be the first time since October 16 (Vikings) that they’ll face a good team.
Minnesota Vikings (9-2)
The Vikings bullied the Patriots on Thanksgiving.
New England Patriots (6-5)
The Patriots had no answer for Josh Allen in the playoffs last year. A lot of defensive personnel has changed for the Patriots since then, so we’ll see if it makes a difference this week.
New Orleans Saints (4-8)
See: Falcons. I don’t think the Saints will win the division, but a win against the Buccaneers on Monday will add to the chaos and I am a proponent for more chaos.
New York Giants (7-4)
The Giants have a big matchup against division rival, Washington, this week. The loser falls to the bottom of the division, but likely stays in a playoff spot. Wild times in the NFC East this year.
New York Jets (7-4)
Mike White is the answer at the quarterback.
Philadelphia Eagles (10-1)
A.J. Brown faces the Titans this week and I’m anticipating him to go off against his former team.
Pittsburgh Steelers (4-7)
The Steelers have some nice weapons on offence that look like they’ll be really good for years to come.
San Francisco 49ers (7-4)
We’re going to see this week just how good the 49ers defence is, with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle standing across from them. I can’t wait.
Seattle Seahawks (6-5)
The Seahawks still have two games to play against the Rams, the first one being in Week 13. On paper, that should be two wins, and enough to keep them afloat in the NFC playoff picture.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6)
The Buccaneers went into their Bye week with so much momentum, and then came out of it with a loss to the Browns. Not the ideal start to the second half of the season.
Tennessee Titans (7-4)
The Titans have a chance to make a statement this week when they take on the Eagles. They are masters of the low-scoring game, but the Eagles are a high-scoring team. Something has to give.
Washington Commanders (7-5)
The Commanders face the Giants in Week 13, have a Bye in Week 14, and then get the Giants again in Week 15. In my mind, they’ve already won the Week 15 matchup just because they get a week to rest and dissect game film, while the Giants don’t. So, if the Commanders can get the win in Week 13, they could sweep the season series.
The Captain's Speech 
Miami is also going into this with a banged up O-line so the timing ain’t great. My concern remains the same in that Tua does tend to take unnecessary hits and he is a small dude. I’m going into this one with a wish list.
1- Tua survives
2- The game doesn’t get so out of hand that it resembles an Alabama homecoming score

Very good point. For as fast as this season has gone, I almost forgot about Tua’s concussion issue earlier this year. Feels like ages ago. Hopefully he can escape the pressure and/or get the ball out quickly. Or hand the ball off to Wilson and Mostert a bunch, I know they’d love to have big games against the 49ers.

That’s the whole thing, Tua has to get rid of the ball quickly. He has to evade hits as much as possible.

A.J. Brown has been ultra-professional in his comments this week. I do agree the Eagles are cooking up something to get him going early. It also sounds like the defense is looking forward to trying to stop Mr. Henry. Other teams have. We should be able to with all the money spent on that side of the ball. Getting my popcorn ready!

That’s good. The Titans don’t need extra motivation to try and shut him down – not that I think they can, anyway. If you can stop Henry, the Eagles will win. You’re not getting beat by their passing game that’s for sure.

Excellent recap. Some really good games coming up this week. I too, am pumped. Regarding two point conversions, I’m surprised nobody has taken that philosophy but I agree that it will happen soon. A coach will go for it after every touchdown.

I’m surprised the Chiefs haven’t done it yet. They seem to have a new goal line play every week. All they’d have to do is convert 2/3 to gain an extra point advantage, and then their opponent is forced to try and keep up.

I wonder what the current percentages are regarding converted two’s. It used to be only about 41-44% if I remember correctly, so teams probably figured as long as PAT’s were more than double that percentage, they might as well kick.
