Look Up At The Stars

The angels call on the telephone
you pick up, but you’re all alone
if you look around, you’ll find the pieces on the ground
it’s the pictures we took before we were ready
it’s the words we don’t remember saying
and it’s everything we ever wore on our sleeve
sitting right there in front of us
I find it a bit uncomfortable, personally
knowing the things I once held so dear
I let fall between my fingers
one by one, like the raindrops that will wash them away
and I don’t feel the need to explain myself
because if I look down, who will look up at the stars
how do I return to the place I once fell
maybe you can pull me in close, so I can stop pulling
take my feelings, so I’m not the only one feeling
grab my hand, so I can let go
let me let go.

Bad – U2

Over the last few weeks I’ve wanted to look up songs by U2 – ones that I’m not familiar with, but I never got around to it. When I was in the car a few days ago, “Bad” came on the radio, I liked it, and made note of it in my phone. When I did that, the word “Feedback” came to mind as well. I don’t know why, it just did. I made note of it too. 

Later that night, I decided to look up how U2 got their name and found out that one of the previous names of their band was “Feedback.” 

The world is weird. Sometimes you come across things when you need them, and if you’re paying attention, you’ll catch the clues.
