What Now

It feels like it’s over
it has felt this way for awhile
as if the letters between A and Z
are tired of being called upon
to sit next to each other
in a book that no longer wishes to open
but refuses to close
and that is the scariest part of this story
how it continues without a plot
even after the final word meets its period
so on behalf of the curious and the empty
I must know if this is it
is this all my eyes were meant to see
just tell me
whisper it in my ear as I sleep
write it in the stars across the sky
spell it out in my morning cereal
just tell me
what now
what am I supposed to do now
because it feels like it’s over
and it has felt this way for awhile.

  1. I had to read it so fast because I couldn’t hold my breath for so long! Love the no punctuation. A breath of fresh air!

  2. Wow, emptiness. This piece really brings out that emotion.

Gosh, I wish I could still write poetry (I haven’t had inspiration strike in a while). This is amazing!

This is so beautiful. Yearning, frightened, trusting, with faith…Powerful.

How did you get it to look like it’s snowing on your homepage? I’m a little afraid to ask, in case you don’t know what I’m talking about, lol.

Got it. Under settings is a holiday snow button thingy. On until January 4th. I have to see how it looks against my sunset.
