HAPPY LOONEY JUNE!

They’re tiny, they’re toony, they’re all a little looney!

The calendar has flipped to June 1st, the pizza has been ordered, the fireworks have been going off, and I am more excited than Porky Pig at a comedy club. It’s here, kids. It’s here. The best holiday that no one knows about is finally here!

HAPPY LOONEY JUNE!

I hope you’re ready to get a bit looney for the next 30 days!

But first, I just want to say something about Porky Pig. Ever notice how he is basically the Donald Duck of the Looney Tunes. Like Donald, Porky also wears a blue shirt, red bow tie, and no pants! What!?

I’m not posting a side-by-side comparison of them on here because neither has pants on. This isn’t that type of blog. But look it up! They’re wearing the same outfit, except Porky went for a dapper blue jacket.

Okay, back to the holiday.

Rumour has it that LOONEY JUNE parties are happening all over the world. Streets have been closed. Pizzerias have been flooded with orders. It’s mayhem, everywhere. We’re not only breaking the Internet. We’re breaking the world. In a fun way, though! No riots!

If there isn’t a LOONEY JUNE party happening where you are, congratulations, you’re the party host! Make it happen!

Possible party games and activities:
1. Pin the tail on Porky Pig
2. Daffy, Daffy, Goose (Duck, Duck, Goose)
3. Relentlessly tweet stuff to honour Tweety Bird. #Tweety #LooneyJune
4. Musical Chairs
5. A game of bingo to honour Grandma
6. Hot Carrot (Hot Potato) to honour Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny
7. Name That (Looney) Tune
8. Any other children’s game you can think of.

I don’t want to make this post too long. If you don’t know what LOONEY JUNE is, or how it came about, read THIS.

Remember to spread the word. Say “HAPPY LOONEY JUNE!” to your friends and co-workers every day this month (make sure they know you’re saying it in all caps, too). Scream it out your windows. Say it to people at drive-thru windows. Sneak up on unsuspecting strangers and whisper it in their ear.

By any means necessary, people will know about LOONEY JUNE!

NOW LET’S EAT THE PIZZA!

    Dunkin Donuts and Tim Hortons need to proclaim this as Looney June Month! People who walk in and SHOUT “HAPPY LOONEY JUNE” get a free pizza shaped donut of their choice. We must spread the word 🙂

    Now I need to go off to my own blog and spread the news… start spreading the news… I’m leaving… well, I’m not really LEAVING leaving… as a musician, I can’t help myself. I MUST SING!!!

      I wrote the post before midnight and had it scheduled to post as soon as June 1st hit, yes. I’m liking all these mentions of pizza and donuts today! Thanks for the support.

    Happy Looney June Paul…June is one of my favourite months not only because my birthday falls in it but also because it brings showers of rain to the scorching land of India.. May be the pizzas with u, with me and with all of us and let’s add some spicy toppings to our life too..hope to cross each other many more times
