Neato 2.0

Well kids, I think I’ve hit my “neato” quota for my lifetime. I haven’t used, or heard, the word in years and now it’s in the title of back-to-back blog posts.

For the second time in as many days I’ve been nominated for the Real Neat Blog award. This time by Barb at Saneteachers. She’s one of the kindest bloggers on WordPress, always boosts my ego, and isn’t afraid to debate important things like the Oxford comma and the “uselessness” in putting a “u” in the word favourite.

If you stopped reading my blog right now and checked hers out and gave her a follow, I wouldn’t hold it against you.

Again, here are the rules for this award:

Now then, when I did this post yesterday, I broke the rules. I didn’t nominate anyone. Instead, I asked 7 questions and hoped people would answer them in the comments. That didn’t happen outside of one person.

So this time I’ll nominate people. But first, I have to answer Barb’s seven questions.

1. If you were alone on a deserted island with only one book, which would it be?

Definitely a survival guide of some sort. One that tells me how to survive and treat myself to gourmet desert island meals. Any other book would just be for leisure.

2. What is your favorite color and why?

My favourite colour is blue. I don’t know why, really. It’s not a loud colour and it’s not a dull colour; it’s blue. I guess me and blue just have things in common. A connection, if you will. Also, my sports uniforms when I was a kid were blue for 4 out of the 5 years I played. 

3. I like favorites (favourites for the Canadian above) so what is your favorite song?

I’m going to go with an unexpected one and say: Where The Streets Have No Name by u2. I haven’t listened to it in awhile though. Closer To The Edge by 30 Seconds To Mars is a close second, if not tied for first.

4. If you could make a memory, what would it be?

I would be a professional baseball player and hit the game winning home run to win the World Series. Or I’d be a hockey player and score the winning goal and win the Stanley Cup. Or there would be a Dairy Queen open up across from my house so I can have a chocolate sundae whenever I want. Either of those three would be fine with me.

5. If you could join a TV show (present or past) and be a new character on that show, which one would you choose?

Teletubbies. Just kidding. Good question. I would say Seinfeld. My sense of humour matches up perfectly with that show.

6. What’s your ringtone?

Plot twist! I have my phone on silent so I don’t hear it if it rings. It never rings. No one calls me. The only people that call me are scams that say I won a trip around the world, or phone numbers where no one is on the other end. I’ve given up on answering my phone, unless I recognize the number on call display. If I did have a ring tone, it would just be a normal ring. Not a song or anything like that.

7. Where were you born?

In a hospital outside of Toronto, Canada, Eh.
